NYAA GOLF
The Director of the golf program is Justin Smith.
The program will be run by Olde Homestead Golf Club’s professional staff and is designed to introduce children to the game of golf in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
The program will introduce players to many of the basic concepts of the golf swing as well as etiquette and rules. Players will work on these skills weekly and will take them on the course towards the end of the program.
Divisions
- 10U Group (Must be at least 7) - Tues & Thurs 5:00-6:00 p.m. $125
- 14U Group - Tues & Thurs 6:00-7:00 p.m. $140
Dates:April 23, 25, 30May 2, 7, 9, 14, 16
Equipment
Players are encouraged to bring their own clubs although only a putter is required.
Loaner clubs will be available for players who do not have their own.
US Kids Golf Putter and Clubs may be purchased or rented for the season, please contact Olde Homestead Golf Club prior to the start of the season to make arrangements.
Proper footwear is required and should be sneakers or golf shoes.
Coaches:
The 2023 program will be organized by Kevin Edwards, PGA Director of Golf and assisted by Tim Miller, High School Golf Coach and Adam Csencsits, Assistant Golf Professional.
Kevin Edwards brings over 30 years of teaching experience to the program including 16 years coaching at the collegiate level. He is currently in his 14th year as the Head Golf Coach at Moravian University where he was a 2-time All-Conference selection earning a conference championship in 1994. Kevin is also a US Kids Golf Certified Teacher and will bring many of this program’s concepts to the NYAA golf program. Tim is the current Head Golf Coach at Northwestern Lehigh High School and brings over 40 years of golf experience. Adam is a PGA Associate and is in his 4th year at Olde Homestead and has excelled teaching focusing on junior golfers.
In addition to the professional staff, volunteer parent coaches will also be needed throughout the season to assist with instruction and on course play. Please contact us if you are interested in assisting.
